- Stay on consecrated ground
- Run across moving water
- Branches of wild roses
- Hawthorn plants
- Mustard seeds
- Aloe Vera
- Mirrors
- Amulets
- Scattering small objects like sand or seeds around grave (they will stop to count them)
- Give them a sack of rice (same as above)
- Place a spell written on paper on their forehead
- Place a piece of wood on doorway
