Ben Holiday was a middle aged man with nothing left to live for. His wife was dead. He was tired of his job. He only had one friend in the world and they were work assiciates. Then he sees an ad in a holiday wish book for a magic kingdom for sale. Buyer to be made its king. Something about the ad draws him. He ends up buying it without even being sure that he believes it's real. When he goes there it is all compleatly real, magic, dragons, fairies and all. The only problem is that the kingdom has fallen apart after 20 years with out a real king. His court is a less then skilled magician, a dog, and two creatures from fairy lands. No one else will follow him. This was a very fun and funny book.
