This book deals with stories of things that happened in America from the first Europeans the visit it to the early days of the USA that we don’t learn about in history class.  Each section has a timeline, quotes from people involved, the story of the event and then an afterwards.    Some of the events are things that most people have never heard about and some are detailed accounts of things that are mentioned in history classes, but not in great detail.
