Update:
We at WNBNI have noticed many new horror/scary stories series in the children's section of the library while certain unnamed peoples play on the computer or pick out books where normal kids write in journals or diaries. So, having failed in convincing them to read said books, we are reading them our self (not that we wouldn't read them if they checked them out, just that then we would sneak them and not count them as books we read, like how bedtime stories aren't on the list.)

Note on Picture Books
The next three books that I will be writing on are volumes of Manga. And I have already posted on a graphic novel this year (or last, not sure). This lead me to think that I should have a clear rule on books that are mostly pictures. So the rule for book counts will be: graphic novels and volumes of manga count as books. Comic books and magizines of manga will not count as they are too short. Online reading of chapters of manga that would add up to a volume in book formate will also not count as it is too hard working out page count. Also, because I am not physicaly holding the book much like how audiobooks are not added to the book count. (If I somehow read an e-book [not getting into why I think e-books suck] I will deside then how I will count them.)

Our New Year’s Resolutions:
As you can see (both online and in person) we have like 99% of you, failed in our resolutions this year. We were really close on the reading one, but have written only 1/2 a notebook and have gained a few pounds. So this year we will be more realistic in our goals.
1. We will work on our writing at least once a week. This is including writing, reading about writing, and typing out what I have been writing and saving it on one of the 3 thumb drives I got for Christmas. (as well as some where safer, I know to have multiple copies.)
2. Maintain my current weight or loose weight. Which, I know is the same as my unrealistic one from last year, but now I'm already at the top area of my normal range and am well on the way with weening which is always the worst for weight gain as not only do you need less calories, but as there are more snack times to make up for the nursing breaks you end up eating more too.
3. Not to have 3 resolutions this year. 2 should be enought this time.

NaBloPoMo blogging
As some of you know NaBloPoMo is a group that is into getting people to post blogs every day during the month. I decided to sign up to be on the list of daily bloggers for this month. I'm not posting on the suggested topic and I don't know if I will be able to do it, but if I'm going to be as bad as I have been at working on my other writngs, I mind as well be doing something. ;P

Shopping High!
Today I did my grocery shopping for this week. On Sunday I bought a paper to see if the coupons in the Sunday paper make it worth the cost of the paper. ($2). Anyway the store was doing double coupons $.50 and under (which I learned in the paper) and was doing a mix and match 10 for $10 plus the 11th free. So I bought the sale items in groups of 11 (to max. sale) and bought a tube of toothpaste that was part of the sale and that I had a $.50 coupon for. So it was $1 and I got $1 off its price. Free toothpaste!!!!!!! And it wasn't even the 11th item. Over all I saved $7 in the paper's coupons as well as $9 from the store it self's coupons. With a total savings on the receipt of over $60, although, it would really be more as it doesn't count if meat's on sale for $.99 a pound when it's normally $1.99 a pound or if a bakery or deli item is repriced at 40% off because it's a day old or expires soon. Yahhhh!!!!! Shopping High!!!!!!! I love saving money on things!!!

Resolution update:
OK that 10 pages of writing a week thing is SOOOO not working. I have like 16 pages of things and should be working on it now instead of this, but I felt that I needed to work on this blog at sometime. And this is the time I have free. That and I have reached the point in writing that requiers long amounts of stairing into space. (Boy, I miss pretending to write notes in school.) So I am officaly failing this resolution and will start writing as much as I can. Hopefully 5-6 pages a week.

Resolution update:
Well, its been almost 1/2 of a month now, and we want to know how everyone is doing with their resolutions. We are doing good on our second and third ones, but could do a bit better with our first one. We have written about 12 pages now, and should be writing more right now, but I just don't feel like it. (Its been a bad day today, on the kid behaving front.) But that is why we set it up as an average. Hopefully tomorrow I will write 3-4 pages to make up for the part of a page I did today, and the first week of the year when I was still working on setting up my schedule.

Note:
We at W.N.B.N.I. are not trying to over inflate our number of books by having saved a bunch of short, simple to read books for the end of the year. All of the books we have read after book 100 have been Christmas gifts.

End of the year time
Once again it is the end of the year. We at WNBNI would like to remind you it’s the time for last minute tax write-offs. Now is the time for end of year giving to charities. Although in the past we listed various charities info, with the current economy it is sooo easy to think up many a charity in need. So find one to help today.

New Year's Resolutions
As you may remember at the start of this year we resolved to read 100 books this year. A quick look as our posts show that we are reading 100 now. So it is time to think about next year, and look back to the start of this year. How have your resolutions gone? What are you doing this coming year? Remember sharing goals with others increases the chance that you will succeed.

Back to normal
As the number of shopping days until Christmas wind down, most people have either finished shopping, or know what they will be giving. For this reason the last few books we read this month will go back to our normal “A Book in Review” or “A Note to Self:”

Ten Left!!
If you looked at the book count on yesterday’s book you would have seen the number 90. That means only 10 more books to read to make my goal of 100 in a year! And I have over 40 days to do it in. Given my average of reading a book every 3-4 days I can make it!! Yaaahhhh!!!!!

Reading not Writing
We at Weird News B.N.I. would just like to apologize for the lack of Super Holiday Specials this month. We know we missed like 4 Jewish holidays already this month. That is the problem with the 100 books in a year thing, one isn’t writing when they are busy reading. Which is why we want to remind you that we have 2 earlier years worth of October blogs you could look at if you need more Super Holidayness. Sure you might have read them before, but it’s been at least a year. And next year, my resolution will be too write more, so stay tuned for January!

It’s that time again. It’s the start of October and that means that it is time for the super holiday specials, that special time of the year when we celebrate with non stop holidays until next year. This year we have the return of holiday book reports, Halloween fun, Thanksgivingness, Christmas, Christmas, Christmas and other fun winter holidays!!! YAAAHHHHHH!!!!! HOLIDAYS!!!!!! (Ok, we have it out of our systems now.)

¾ of the way there!!
Although we at Weird News B.N.I. are not the best with math, as we just finished our 75th book of the year it appears that we only have 25 more books to read and 3 ½ months to read them in!!!! YAHHHHH!!!!! After reading that many books we have waaaayyyy too many facts and information in our heads and so the last 25 books shall all be about fashion and pirates! Just kidding, although we may enjoy some lighter reads now that we know everything we ever wanted to know on global economics and Victorian politics. Anyway, we just thought we’d post an update on how things are going.
