The Black Death: A History From Beginning to End:

The Black Death: A History From Beginning to End by: Henry Freeman

Non-fiction: History, Science, E-book

This book is from a series that does a short version of the history of a person or event.  This one is on the Black Death as one would expect.  It covers the basics of the Black Plague in Europe as well as some on it in Asia and the Middle East.  As is common in a book of this type, it touches on a number of parts of the Black Death without getting to into any one part of it.  It would be a reasonable 1st book on the subject.

The Hardy Boys: Undercover Brothers, #18: D.A.N.G.E.R. Spells the Hangman!:

The Hardy Boys: Undercover Brothers, #18: D.A.N.G.E.R. Spells the Hangman! by:Scott Lobdell, illustrated by: Paulo Henrique Marcondes
Fiction: Graphic Novel, Mystery, YA, 96 pages

The Hardy Boys novels were notable better then Nancy Drew, but the graphic novel some how clickbaited the cover. Also it needed more smuggler pirates, the best part of the books were how there were so many smuggler pirates in a otherwise normal American town.  There were some dognappers in this, but not the same thing.  Also it was about spelling bees!
