Ghost Stories:

Ghost Stories by: Ron Ripley
Fiction: Paranormal,Short Stories, E-Book

At first I thought that all of the stories were connected to the same ghost town as the first few did all connect back to the same town.  But later ones were not all the same place.  Although, I would like if they all were connected in that way, the stories were over all what one would expect from a set of short ghost stories.

The Diabetes Code: Prevent and Reverse Type 2 Diabetes Naturally:

The Diabetes Code: Prevent and Reverse Type 2 Diabetes Naturally by: Dr. Jason Fung
Non-fiction: Science, 288 Pages

I already follow many things that Dr Fung and others with similar ideas do, but I wanted to see if this book would be good for a family member who is diabetic, but follows the ADA's recipe for increasing meds and illness, and who also does not understanding why I will not eat their pasta with garlic bread and salad with low fat dressing as a "heart healthy" meal.  Although, some of the science might be beyond their understating (not that it is complex, just that this person is rather anti-science and so anything not at basic high school level science is above them,) over all, I think that this book that will speak, even to them, about ways that they can help deal with their diabetes. So over all, a good read for someone that is a beginner at actually treating diabetes and a good reminder for people that have already studied the works of people like Dr. Fung.

Roman Britain: A History From Beginning to End:

Roman Britain: A History From Beginning to End by:
Non-Fiction: History, essay, e-book

I expected this book to be a short overview of the history of Rome in Britain.  It does mention Rome and Britain, but largely is about things like: why the term Celtic means nothing, how Creole describes more then language, how little we can know of Roman Britain and more thoughts on things some what connected to what the book says it is about.

Dead Mountain: The Untold True Story of the Dyatlov Pass Incident by: Donnie Eichar
Non-fiction: History, Mystery, Science, E-book

This book is by an American who became interested in the story of the hikers that died at the Dyatloy Pass in the Soviet Union.  This story was one of the ones told on the podcast "Jimmy Akin's Mysterious World"  so when I found the book on it, I thought I would read it.  This book tells what we know of the story as well as the author's search for more information and different theories on what might have taken place.  It end with info on the theory that the author thinks is likely to be what happened, but it is something that can not be proven.

Heaven Starts Now: Becoming a Saint Day by Day:

Heaven Starts Now: Becoming a Saint Day by Day by:
Non-fiction: Religion 144 pages

Fun fact, according to Goodreads this book is 0 pages long.  Also, some small group at church is reading this book, so I had to go online to find the page count, as I loaned my copy out.
This book is about how we should grow in holiness in this life to start living the heavenly life we are called to now.  It is a short book, but a deep book.  There are many quotes from the Bible and the writings of the Popes and also personal stories in it.

The Unquiet Grave:

The Unquiet Grave By:
Fiction: Historic, Mystery, 368 pages

This book is a fictionalized account of the story of the Greenbrier Ghost, a murder case that involved the ghost of the murder victim themselves.  It tells the story both at the time it happened and many years later, as told by a lawyer on the case.  This is especially interesting because the events happened in West Virginia, about a generation after the Civil War, and the lawyer happened to be an African American who was helping defend a white man.  Also at the end there is information on the research that the author did in writing the book.
