An Actual Report of a Book – Cooking the Hungarian Way

Cooking the Hungarian Way by: Magdolna Hargittai
Non-fiction, Cooking 69 pages copyright 2003

First, this is not the book I lost my bookmark in. I do have the ability to find a page in a book with fewer than 100 pages. That being said, this book had way too few recipes in it. There are only 23 ones and 5 of them are fillings/sauces that go into other recipes. It does at least contain some of the more well knows recipes in it and it has a lot of information about the county as well. But as a whole it was disappointing.

Nice to see the world is getting the word out about this terrific cuisine! I've recently been inspired to start a blog on the topic (Hungarian food).

What did you think of the recipes you did see? Any faves?

There were a few good ones, mostly the most common Hungarian foods (Chicken Paprika, dumplings, etc.)But, the information on Hungarian cooking and eating habits was useful.
