Thanksgiving Factoid: Turkeys

Early Spanish explorers called the turkey a peacock with great hanging chins. In France it was called the rooster of India (coq d’Inde). In Arabic the Ethiopian bird, in Greek French girl (gallopoula) , in Malay Dutch chicken (ayam belanda), in Holland Calicut chicken and in Turkey its called hindi.
