A Holiday Book in Review: The Road to Hell

The Road to Hell By: Jackie Kessler
Fiction: paranormal romance 280 pages
Book Count: 62

This is book two in the Hell on Earth series. Jesse was a succubus, but she escaped hell and fell in love with a human man. She wants to learn how to jut be a normal human, but hell just keeps trying to pull her back. It starts with a bit on names of cities including Hell, MI, Paradise, PA and Intercourse, PA. I have to say that they didn't spend enough time looking over Michigan's map as there is also a Paradise and a Climax. Also the book makes one ask questions on what would be a insult or curse word for someone in Hell. For example, Jesse the succubus turned human stripper, was called something like "slutty, ho" as an insult where I would think that would be a compliment for them. Overall the book was fun to read with an interesting storyline that kept me turning pages. Sometimes I was turning because I didn't want to read yet another reason on how and why Jesse's nipples were getting hard, but mostly it was due to the interesting storyline, which also included many other unusual characters. These included: a witch, two furies, an incubus, an angel, and the devil himself as well as his replacement.
