This book of 30 days of devotions is designed to be a quick read but with individual prayers/activities to do to enrich the experience. They all have the same basic formula: bible quote, thoughts on the quote, a story from the author, thoughts to pray/meditate/write about dealing with the quote, a related quote from a well known Christian writer/minister/etc., and a prayer. The only thing that isn't consistent is what version of the bible her quotes are in. Bible quotes are used frequently throughout each day's reading but sometimes she will use 3-4 different versions in the same day, everything from the New King James to The Message.
