This book is a historical fiction book that takes place during the early days of the Lincoln presidency. The story line is about a conspiracy to assassinate Lincoln. The book is divided up by days and so the story will jump between the different characters in each chapter, with only a space between the paragraphs to let you know that there is a change in who's story it is telling now. This can be a bit confusing; however, it does help you to see everything that is happening at the same time in the story.
