Dear Library,
Hello, I would like to tell you about an amazing invention. It is called the Dewey Decimal System. It was invented in 1876 and is a way for people to know what the subject mater is of a book. It is as easy to use as counting, as you just arrange all the books by the number that is located on the spine of all your non-fiction books. If that is hard for you to understand you can ask for help from any other branches of the library, or from most every other library in the country. I know that you have attempted your own version of this by putting all of the books in sections that you personally labeled, but each time I run to your location in a hurry this has caused issues. One time I used the website for the library to find a book and wrote down what its number was so that I could find it. But things were not arranged by the Dewey Decimal Classification so I had to look all around the section labeled with it's subject matter, and then when it wasn't under that I had to look around for where else it might be. The last two times I have picked up books labeled as "Humor" gave them a quick look and only when I started to read them did I find out that one was a book on Astrology (and not on making fun of astrology as a quick look of the cover would imply) the other was a fiction book on global warming (and not just some dark humor on pop culture as it looked like.) I know that there are cost connected with this system, but as every other branch of the county library that I have been in uses the system I have to imagine that you are paid up for using it. (Even the branch in the mall uses it, and if any branch should be using an idiots method of arranging books, it should be the one next to the arcade.) So please, start using the same method of shelving books as every other library that I have ever been in and not just sticking books where you think that they might go.
~Me
P.S. I know moving all the books will not be that hard as my main branch likes to switch up the sections for fiction and non-fiction, teen and audio books at least once a year.

Why is it?
Why is it when you are expecting a package everything sounds like a delivery truck? As my facebook friends know I ordered a package last week. At the time I did a little rant on Facebook about the shipping as if I just got the mints that I difently wanted to order the shipping cost like $6 on a $2.50 thing. But as I got the big 37lbs box of things the mints were no extra shipping charge. Anyway on Monday I thought that the box may come as although it was shipping ground from Washington state UPS is usually faster then expected. Anyway, I heard a sound during nap time, but as I didn't need to sign for it and the squires are running into the house or something as I kept hearing sounds of something hitting the house and look outside to see a bunch of squires playing near the house I didn't bother looking. Until I heard the screen door open, as there is no way the box would fit in the door. I looked out and there was the FedEx man leaving after delivering a book that was sent from the publisher that I wasn't even thinking about as it was only a few days ago that I requested it. (I will write on that book in a little while, I'm saving it to read over Thanksgiving. More on free books later.) Anyway, so I decided to look online for where my box was with the tracking number. It said that it was in Ohio, but that it was set to be delivered Monday. I found it odd, but still I spend all day expecting to get the package. I didn't get it. It turned out it hadn't left until 10 pm, so it was arriving Tuesday. So spent another day thinking I was hearing a truck when there was none. When it did come, as happens most of the time I knew it was the truck as it doesn't sound anything like all the pickup trucks, vans, SUVs and poorly tuned cars that I was looking out the window for before.

This is not a Book in Review:
Today I was planing on writing up a Book in Review for "Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters", but even with Sea Monsters it is taking forever to read this book. It is in no way as fast a read as the Jane Austen novel with the zombies and ninjas. So instead to have something to write today I will talk about the turkey I cooked yesterday. Yes, I know that there is 2 weeks until Thanksgiving, but it was on sale for only 40 cents a pounds. And why not have turkey more then once or twice a year. Anyway, first I apparently have the worlds coldest fridge. I put it in to thaw on Saturday afternoon. On Wednesday morning when I opened it up there was still chunks of ice on it. I had to thaw it in a low oven. Then, when it was thawed out and I went to remove the giblets and neck it had two necks in it. It was a mutant bird! Anyway even with all that it turned out well. And we can eat turkey for the next week. (Or freeze some for later.)

Shopping Highs!
We have have yet another great shopping day of savings. So we have decided to go on a savings spree. We will be reading books on saving (as we went to the library during a shopping high) and working on saving more in life. And then we well tell you all about it to give you something else to read between looking up odd laws, famous members of the undead and manatee mating rituals. (See, last post if you too wonder what people are reading this blog while looking for those things.)

Reader Rant
OK, I just went and looked at my weekly information on how many people read my blog and other basic info on readership. And I have so many questions now. First, every time my own computer gets recorded as a reader because the cookies get reset or something, it sets up a new city it thinks I'm at. And its not like it is at times anywhere close to where I live. Also, why is it that the only people who randomly look at my blog from googling something are looking for one of three things: 1. odd laws, 2. manatee mating 3. vampire, undead and other Halloween type things. Who are all these people looking for manatee sex. What kind of freaks are you. I can understand a hit or two of people looking for this, especially right after the episodes of Connan O'Brien that I was talking about, but really!!! And last, how come anytime some one who is from a place that I know people looks at this they're here for under 1 second. If your a friend or family member at least wait a second, before deciding that you don't want to read this. You're making me a touch paranoid that everyone hates this blog, I read yours (If you gave me a link, or I could find it on my own. Minx yours is IMPOSSIBLE to find, send a link pleeze!!)

Shopping High!
Today I did my grocery shopping for this week. On Sunday I bought a paper to see if the coupons in the Sunday paper make it worth the cost of the paper. ($2). Anyway the store was doing double coupons $.50 and under (which I learned in the paper) and was doing a mix and match 10 for $10 plus the 11th free. So I bought the sale items in groups of 11 (to max. sale) and bought a tube of toothpaste that was part of the sale and that I had a $.50 coupon for. So it was $1 and I got $1 off its price. Free toothpaste!!!!!!! And it wasn't even the 11th item. Over all I saved $7 in the paper's coupons as well as $9 from the store it self's coupons. With a total savings on the receipt of over $60, although, it would really be more as it doesn't count if meat's on sale for $.99 a pound when it's normally $1.99 a pound or if a bakery or deli item is repriced at 40% off because it's a day old or expires soon. Yahhhh!!!!! Shopping High!!!!!!! I love saving money on things!!!

Books, books, books!
OK this spring we will be part of a garage sale. And so we thought that this would b a good time to read a lot of books that we had bought that we know that we will most likely read only once and get red of, so get ready for many, many mystery books. As we have about 100 more books in our bookshelves then should fit in them and we plan on getting red of at least 1/3 rd of them before we bring any more into the house. (All the reader out there understand what a great sacrifice that is, expecialy as both our libary and twice a year church book sales have $1 a bag times during the sales.)

End of the year time
Once again it is the end of the year. We at WNBNI would like to remind you it’s the time for last minute tax write-offs. Now is the time for end of year giving to charities. Although in the past we listed various charities info, with the current economy it is sooo easy to think up many a charity in need. So find one to help today.

Crazy Busy:
OK, so we were planning on making lots of holiday posts for all the December holidays. As you can see that hasn’t happened. We, like everyone else this time of year has gotten crazy busy. That, and as we have been actually turning the computer off to save energy, when we are free its off and we don’t want to spend 5 minutes to turn it on. But, we are done with our Christmas shopping. Now in order to have more free time we just need to: wrap presents, send out cards, make cookies, visit friends, visit family, make more cookies, baste fruitcakes, fill stocking, 20 other things we can’t think of now, and all the day to day things we had to do any way. It should be no problem!

Christmas letter:
Its that time of year again. The time I'm to make up a Christmas letter about all the great things that happened this year. And of course, I need to fill a page up with 4 lines worth of information. And unlike school papers and resumes I can't just make it all up, as I will see these people again. So, does anyone out there have any good ideas on b.s.ing a Christmas letter? And not writing one is not a choice as the one who doesn't write it thinks its such a great idea.

Middle of Fall
Today marks the middle of fall, if your weather has been like the weather in Michigan that is hard to believe. This week it has been so warm that we’ve gone out with no jackets on. For once global warming has done something good!

A Bit Early
This week I have gone out shopping to a couple stores, to see what Halloween things are on clearance, and what is playing on the sound system? Christmas Carols!!!! Already! I get people setting up the Christmas decorations and gifts. Some people like to shop early so they aren’t stressed at the last moment trying to find things. I already have half my gifts bought, but 2 months of nonstop carols at stores could drive one round the bend. I’m glad I’m not working there. Do they think that the music is going to make people buy more or earlier? It wasn’t even good Christmas music it was the elevator music of Christmas carols.

A Note to Self: The Anubis Slayings
Book Count: 68
The Anubis Slayings By: P.C.Doherty
Fiction: Mystery, historic 308 pages 2000
Yes, we will keep reading historic mysteries until you come up with something better! Actually, the last two books we read were non fiction and the next one will also most likely be as well, we just would like to hear some POSITIVE feedback from you now and then. OK, ranting over. . . This book takes place during the rein of Pharaoh Hatusu, one of Egypt’s few women Pharaohs. And it is a story of murder, theft, and political intrigue. It was a page turner of a book; however, it is one where you don’t need to try to find out what happened, the author doesn’t give you all the pieces that you need ahead of time. But, they do make it clear that they are doing that at points in the book, so you feel less cheated about it.

Slow month
August must be a slow month for blogging. Not only have we at weird News B. N.I. been having a hard time getting around to blogging, but all of the blogs we read are not writing as often. It makes sense that our friends that are getting married this month are a bit busy with other things, but blogs that are normally posting every day are doing so only once or twice a week. And our pastor hasn't posted since the middle of last month. So august must be a big month for funerals as that is usually the reason why he doesn't blog when there are things going on that he world usually write on. (Like China not letting Bibles into the country.) Anyway we were just wondering if we were the only ones who are seeing a lack of blogs this month. (Also, we are claiming preschooler who WILL NOT sleep as our excuse. Which you would thing would help with the reading of books, but at a certain level of tiredness letters no longer make sense.)
P.S. We are working on writing post using a tablet as we can then write in bed, but it does cause more typos as it can’t read our handwriting well, so we apologies for any typos that we miss.

Baby Reminder:
We just want to remind our friends that we will have a baby soon. First, so if when they get the anoccement and go, “I didn’t even remember that you were having a baby.” We can be like “didn’t you read our blog? We mentioned it multiple times. If you told me about a blog you have, I would read it, even if it was on something I didn’t care about.” And second, to let you know that sometime soon we may not post for a while as we will be in the hospital/ getting use to a new baby in the house and just too busy to do too much. And thirdly, yes we will have a party to see the baby about a month after it’s born like in the past.

Picking up
As you may have guessed giving the number of new book reports, we are out of our book reading slump! And all it took was a small change. A while ago we decided to look at a different branch of the library for some books and had half a dozen in 5 mins. (And then we got sick and didn’t do much of anything for a week.) But, once we felt better we were enjoying every free minute of reading we had. (Which, was less then normal, see not doing anything for a week [Stupid Dishes!!!] but still we are working on catching up on our reading. [Only 4-5 books behind now!])
